Assuming that I'm reading this notice right, that is-- joining British telecom Vodafone, Japanese IT multinational NEC has just showcased SL-to-mobile communication at a Barcelona trade show. There's a lot of potential in being able to call someone from within Second Life, but I wonder how much it's being used. In any case, Tokutoku is a cool and fun build, full of that busybody, futuristic, neon-lit aesthetic that seems distinctly Japanese.

NEC Gets Into SL-to-Cellphone Communication Business
