Sexy Swedish "Comet"

One dressage rider was recognized for her achievements this year at the Swedish Riders Gala held at Café Opera in Stockholm on 17 August 2026.

It was the 19th edition of the Gala which celebrates Swedish equestrian sport across the disciplines. Swedish show jumper Henrik von Eckermann swept away three out of five major awards that evening. He won the title of performance of the year, feat of the year, and horse of the year (King Edward). Ellen Hedbys was named "Comet of the Year" and won the award over show jumper Ebba Danielsson and eventer Jenny Glebenius. The 23-year old Hedbys represented Sweden at the 2024 European Under 25 Championships in St. Margarethen (AUT), where she finished 10th in the Kur to Music aboard the 12-year old Oldenburg Sonnenkonig (by Roi du Soleil x Sir Donnerhall). At the gala also the trainer of the year and riding school of the year get honoured. The recipients were Gunnel Bergqvist and Borås Fältrittklubb. Eventing groom Jenny Nilsson was named groom of the year. Mats Mellberg received an honorary award.
