Existential Strength - Why Live?
The Reality of Endurance
Nietzsche’s insight was famously put to the ultimate test by the psychiatrist Viktor Frankl, who survived the Holocaust. Frankl observed that in the concentration camps, the prisoners most likely to survive weren't necessarily the physically strongest; they were those who had a "why" to live for: a book to finish, a child to find, or a future to build. This validated Nietzsche’s theory on a global, tragic scale: strength is not just physical, it is existential.
What is your purpose? What do you want your future to be?
