However, standard government and public pensions have specific age guidelines:Canada Pension Plan (CPP): Standard age is 65, but you can start as early as 60 (with reduced payments) or as late as 70 (with increased payments).Old Age Security (OAS): Available starting at age 65.Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP): Normal retirement is age 65 (with 5 years of service), or early retirement with an unreduced pension at age 58 (with 30 years of service) or age 60 (with 10 years of service).Maximum Age Limit: By federal law, registered pensions and tax-sheltered savings must begin payouts by December 31 of the year you turn 71, though you do not have to stop working.
